Getting to Steamboat Resort

Steamboat Springs stands out as one of Colorado's most accessible ski resorts, offering convenient transportation options for visitors. The Hayden Airport, situated just a few miles east of Hayden and approximately 22 miles west of Steamboat Springs off Highway 40, serves as a gateway to this mountain paradise. Upon arrival, travelers can easily access Steamboat Springs by taking the access road about 2 miles out to Highway 40 and turning right, with the resort located approximately 22 miles east. While public bus service from the airport is not available, shuttle services offer convenient transportation options.

For those flying into Denver International Airport (DIA), another straightforward route to Steamboat Springs awaits. The scenic journey entails a relaxing 3-hour drive from the airport. Travelers can embark on I-70 west through the Eisenhower Tunnel to Silverthorne, Exit 205, covering 67 miles. From Silverthorne, continue on CO 9 North to Kremmling, spanning 37 miles, before heading west on US 40 for the final 53 miles to reach Steamboat Springs.

Alternatively, starting December 16, Snowstang provides an additional transportation option, offering 40 days of weekend bus service between Denver and Steamboat Springs on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as during the Martin Luther King Jr. and Presidents Day holidays. Passengers can board at either Denver Union Station or the Denver Federal Center, providing a convenient and stress-free travel experience to this iconic mountain destination.
