I've stayed in this building on a couple of occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed it!

It's directly across the street from the village area, so it's convenient to everything that Sun Peaks has to offer, yet still feels quiet and private. This is particularly true if you stay on the back side of the building which overlooks a wooded area and Hefley Creek.

The 2 Bedroom condos that I have stayed in have both been great for either two couples or families with kids. The bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the units and each have their own bathroom.

The units are very open and modern, and almost all are equipped with private hot tubs and in-suite laundry facilities. While it's not ski-in/out, the lifts are easy to access by walking across the street (abut 150 meters) and then clicking on your gear and skiing through the village to the Sundance Express Chair.

On the down-side, the fireplaces are electric and decorative only, so if having a fire to sit by is really important to you, there may be better buildings. It is also one of the pricier buildings on the mountain, but I still find the value to be reasonably good considering the fantastic location and high-end finishes.

The location is one of the best in Sun Peaks. Close to village, shops, ski slopes, bike trails in the summer. 1 to 3 Bedrooms condos that are updated and comfortable. Full kitchens stocked with cookware, dishes, glassware etc. Don't forget to use the private hot tubs after a nice day on the slopes or a hard day riding the bike trails. Great views at anytime of year! Highly recommended and would stay again for sure.

The Kookaburra Lodge is one of the newest properties at Sun Peaks. It offers beautiful, spacious suites within a very close walk of the slopes and the village in a variety of sizes to suit all different groups. The condos here have gray slate flooring and a "cooler" design theme than you might expect at a ski resort. If you're looking for a more contemporary style of decor, this is the perfect place for you.

Most units come with European style washer/dryers which are energy efficient and very handy to have for drying ski clothes at the end of the day or simply minimizing how much you have to pack for your stay. All other appliances provided are excellent quality and so great to have for a longer stay. (Condo #303 also has the coolest toaster I've ever seen!)

All of the suites here have electric fireplaces which add to the ambiance in the unit without the worry of little ones getting too close. While the property does list as offering ski-in/ski-out access, I have found it to be more of a walk-in/walk-out location. It is one of the closest condo properties to the lifts so it is only a short walk to get kids to ski school or to start your own ski day at the base of the mountain. The village is just across the street so if you're looking for close access to everything that Sun Peaks has to offer, his is an excellent choice.

For the non-skiers in the group, there is a lovely day spa right in the property and most of the condo units have their own private hot tubs so it's a great place to relax and just get away from it all.

The Kookaburra was good. The main issue was the amount of codes required to get into the place was insane and they are all different.
Another issue was the cleaning of the condo needed to be more often. We stayed 12 nights and we had it cleaned once. With the amount of money we paid, it should have been cleaned more once.
Otherwise, it was really good.
