This property offers an excellent combination of quality, space, amenities and location. You can walk to the gondola within about 5 minutes but there is a free shuttle provided if you don't want to make the trek or if you have small children whose equipment you have to carry. This property does not have an elevator so it's important to request a lower floor if you have anyone with mobility issues in your party.

As the units here are individually owned and decorated, there is some variation in the quality but there are photos available for each and every unit so it's easy to find one that you like before you book. I loved the fact that there was an outdoor heated pool and hot tubs here as well. I didn't have my kids with me on this trip so I only used the hot tub but I know that if I go back with the whole family they will really appreciate that extra amenity. The pool is open in the winter and heated enough that it's actually comfortable to go for a swim. It's almost as warm as a hot tub!

At the end of the day, the property shuttle that goes into town was a huge help. I never waited more than a few minutes to get the shuttle into town and getting back to the resort after dinner was easy too. I called to find out where I could meet the driver and he picked us up within 10 minutes.

Overall, this property turned out to be a great spot for my first trip to Steamboat.
